Why are kids mean??

I had a horrible grade school flash back just a couple of hours ago. My daughter is so upset, 2 of hers friends told her they didn't want to be friends with her , then this evening to top it off one called her and told her she was a b**ch, she is heart broken. I am heart broken....
Why are kids so mean?? I have always tried to tell both the kids you don't have to like everyone but be kind, is being kind so hard?? I wasn't always kind when I was a kid either, I think that is why I try to make sure they are kind. Now I am not an idiot I know they aren't perfect and when away from me I have no idea how they act but at least we talk about things like this and I try to use them as learning tools.
SO she doesn't want to go to school tomorrow and I did the mom thing and said well you are going and you just act like it doesn't bother you and pray to tonight before you go to bed for God to give you strength, I fully believe He will, she knows it, and has a good relatonship with Him. (between me and you, I wanted to say okay you can stay home, remembering my horrible days)

CRAM IT!!!

THere are sometimes when parents behave like kids or even worse and you just want to tell them to cram it!!!!! Brenden is not the best player on his hockey, but he loves the sport and he really tries....and I have found out there is someone, a parent who wants him off so they can win more, now mind you this parent is just picking on my kid he is picking on others. GOOD GRIEf grow up. Luckily so far Brenden has no idea and his coach is handling it well, I suppose, I would have lost my mind by now if I was their coach. These kids could be a strong force if they learn to work together now and continue on in hockey.
I really hope Brenden never finds out, I hurt for him and I hurt for me.....and I secretly wanted to run over this persons foot in the parking lot the other day..................not really, I would nver do that, but is it very frustrating.

It's a heat Wave......

Wow, I haven't blogged in so long....it has been cold!!!! okay, I kow I moved to Alaska, but it's really not that bad here in Homer, but it has been really cold. When we were in Anochorage this past weekend it was -37 when we came out if the Aces hockey game...NOW THAT IS COLD!!! But it is warming up we are above zero and I think today it actually snowed or yesterday?? I can't remember.
Hockey is still going strong, Brenden loves it so much. Leia has start crosscountry skiing and has practice 3 days a week, so they are both busy.

Not much else to say........back to work.
